On the 6th night of their monthly concert series at Donau115.

This Duo was born in 2010 and the two have maintained a musical collaboration and a close friendship ever since their arrival in Berlin.

On the sixth night of their concert series “STEREO HEART” invite the wonderful violinist Maria Reich (DE) and cellist Julia Bilat (PL).
That night you will hear the wonderful sound of an improvising string quartet playing music from thriller movies.

Die Musikschule Paul Hindemith Neukölln präsentiert mit ihrem Jazzfachbereich das Konzert Musik-Power!

Unsere regelmässigen Konzerte mit der Jazzabteilung der Musikschule Neukölln im Donau 115 erfreuen sich wachsender Beliebtheit und wir haben ein besonders reichhaltiges Paket geschnürt!

5 (!!) Bands und ein special Guest (!) werden für ein spannendes Programm sorgen.
Die jungen Musiker der Studienvorbereitung Jazz sorgen immer wieder für Überraschungen und bringen inspirierende Arrangements, Ideen und Grooves mit auf die Bühne… auf keinen Fall verpassen!

Die 4 Magneten ist eine Dozentenband der Musikschule Neukölln und liefert zum Abschluss des Konzerts Einblicke in die kompositorische Welt der einzelnen Musiker. Die illustre Besetzung ist dieses Mal: Jörg Schippa (guit) Horst Nonnenmacher (bass) Uli Moritz (drums) Franz Bauer (vib) und als Highlight ihr special Guest Daniel Busch (trbn) Er ist nicht nur als Solist und Leiter der ‘Flintstones Big Band’ gefragt,
sondern leitet ausserdem die Musikschule Paul-Hindemith Neukölln.

Elias Stemeseder “Serpenti a Sonagli”

Serpenti a Sonagli is a collective ensemble featuring four protagonists of Berlin’s creative music community. Drawing inspiration from a wide variety of musical idioms, their music synthesizes these heterogenous influences to create a sound between groundedness and fluctuation. Aware of the reciprocity of tradition and innovation, the quartet navigates polyrhythmic structures, songforms, timbral explorations, folkloric elements, and – of course – the blues, with the elegance and viciousness of a serpente a sonagli. The first reunion of this group after almost three years will feature some new compositions and newly revisited older ones (some of which can be seen/heard here:

ELIAS STEMESEDER
Berlin and New York based musician working in a wide-ranging variety of musical idioms. Born near Salzburg, Austria in 1990, he studied at Anton Bruckner Conservatory in Linz and at UdK Berlin. Present, past and future musical collaborators include John Zorn, Jim Black, Greg Cohen, Anna Webber, Thomas Morgan, Laurie Anderson, Mat Maneri, Joey Baron, Billy Mintz and Nels Cline. Elias has been featured as a pianist and/or composer at Umbria Jazz, Winter Jazz and Moers festivals, and at concert venues such as The Village Vanguard, Konzerthaus Berlin and Haus der Berliner Festspiele. He has received grants and scholarships from SKE/austro mechana, Bundeskanzleramt Österreich and UdK Berlin.

ELDAR TSALIKOV
Born in 1993, in Rostov on Don, Russia. After finishing studying at the «Kim Nazaretov Children’s Jazz School», Eldar moved in Berlin in 2011, starting his studies at the «Jazz-Institut-Berlin» under the guidance of such artists as Peter Weniger, Greg Cohen and John Hollenbeck.
Eldar visited Europe for the very first time in 2005 taking a part at the «Glasgow International Jazz Festival», and since then has been traveling and performing in such countries as Germany, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Italy, Denmark, Greece and etc.
Along with his own gypsy-swing group «Eldar Tsalikov FO’tet», Eldar has been taking a part in numerous projects, collaborating with such great artists as Greg Cohen, Joey Baron, Evan Christopher, Wycliffe Gordon, Irvin Mayfield, Anna Webber, Dave Liebman, Jerry Bergonzi,Tommy Smith, Dennis Rowland.

IGOR SPALLATI
After completing his classical double bass studies in Italy with Silvio Bruni and Francesco Petracchi, he moved to Berlin to study the “ Jazz Institut “ with Greg Cohen, John Hollenbeck and Kurt Rosenwinkel .

Among others, He has worked with: Nasheet Waits, Ambrose Akinmusire, Joe Chambers, Billy Hart, Fred Hersch, Gregory Porter, David Russel, Brad Shepik, David Gilmore, Pietro Tonolo, HR Big Band, Gabriele Mirabassi, Mike Richmond, Joe Hisaishi.

UGO ALUNNI
Born in Perugia, there he attended the Conservatory “F.Morlacchi” after which he investigated further the drums at the Collective School of Music in New York City.
He currently resides in Berlin where he attended the Jazz Institut under the guidance of John Hollenbeck, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Greg Cohen and David Friedman.
He has played with Rossano Emili, Perugia Jazz Orchestra, Pietro Tonolo, Joe Chambers, Dan Kinzelman, Alessandro Lanzoni, Phil Donkin, Uli Kempendorff, and many others.
